I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where I learned to appreciate the simple beauty found in nature, family, and tradition. At 14, I moved to the United States, leaving behind everything familiar to begin a new chapter. Learning a new language, adapting to a different culture, and building a life from the ground up wasn't easy, but every challenge helped shape the person I am today. With determination and faith, I earned my high school diploma, secured a city job, and continued working toward the future I had always dreamed of.

As a single mother balancing a full-time career and raising my family, I often found myself pouring into everyone else while leaving very little for myself. It was during those busy seasons that I discovered how powerful small moments of self-care could be. Lighting a candle at the end of a long day or taking a few quiet minutes to care for my skin became simple rituals that helped me slow down, recharge, and reconnect with myself.

That experience inspired me to create Valuji Studio, a brand rooted in the belief that self-care doesn't have to be complicated to be meaningful. Every candle, body oil, butter, and scrub is thoughtfully handcrafted with high-quality botanical ingredients to transform everyday routines into moments of comfort, restoration, and intention.
